New Zealand tests Covid-19 blast detection technology at border

New Zealand border guards have started testing an app to detect Covid-19 before the first symptoms of the disease known as noise appear. The platform was developed by the artificial intelligence company Datamine (AI) and is connected to smartwatches and other wearable devices to measure values ​​such as heart rate, temperature or oxygen saturation. According to Datamin, the app can detect the warning signs of Covid-19 up to three days before symptoms appear with an accuracy of up to 90%. The app creates a custom baseline for each user from the wearable device's data set and uses AI to detect physiological changes that can indicate the user is sick before they feel bad. The platform is not device specific and can run on many different pieces of hardware.
