The concept has grown in popularity in recent years and now three Florida Polytechnic University students are receiving huge funding for their own portable prototype. A handle doesn't take much, but we've found it can do a lot more than you might think. "Gesture technology can help people prevent harm and potentially save lives," said Kevin Racktoo, senior hardware engineer at DEX Interfaces. Racktoo and David Terry and Aaron Apigo are seniors at Florida Polytechnic University. It was only four months ago that they had the idea for a portable device that could be used to control an electric longboard with hand gestures.
