The march of technology in Tehama County – Red Bluff Daily News

In last week's column, I wrote about the evolution of television and the role technology has played in following all kinds of sports. In 1958, I was thrilled to see one baseball game of the week on a 13-inch black and white TV. If I have the financial means today, I can watch virtually every single sporting event in the world, including my personal favorite, Corn Hole, on a flat-screen TV the size of a garage door. Boy, that's progress, isn't it? You might be surprised to learn that I actually helped introduce the computer to Tehama County. [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOGH7bixRrQ[/embed] Palm Desert-based technology entrepreneur Bear Simerson, co-founder of 3C.Health, took first place in the fourth annual Riverside County Fast Pitch Final. "I was really shocked when they announced the winner," says Simerson. "There have been some great companies with great presentations. But when we won it was an amazing feeling." The "Fast Pitch" final was attended by five entrepreneurs who each received the highest honors in an official regional pitch competition held during Riverside County Innovation Month. The competition is similar to the "Shark Tank", in which entrepreneurs submit their ideas to a jury. As one of the three co-founders of 3C Health, Simerson helped develop a platform that enables remote patient monitoring and automates the exchange of information between doctors and healthcare providers. Their solution, under development for three years
