Help name life-changing piece of technology at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation | Lehigh Valley Regional News

ALLENTOWN, PA. - The Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network is launching a competition giving you the opportunity to name a life changing piece of technology.

Good Shepherd Pediatrics, part of the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network, is offering the public the opportunity to name three Trexo Plus robotic exoskeletal devices.

The devices will be used on the organization's campus in South Allentown.

The “Name a Trexo” competition is open to adults and children and there is no limit to the number of entries.

The deadline for submitting names is May 11, 2021. After a public voting phase on the names of the finalists, the winners will be announced and remembered at the annual Good Shepherd gala in the garden on June 5th.

"We want children, families, and individuals from across the Lehigh Valley, across the region and across the country, to be creative and enjoy this competition," said Amanda Kleckner, PT, DPT, Executive Director of Good Shepherd Pediatrics . "You have the opportunity to make a lasting impression when a child climbs onto the device you mentioned for the first time."

Good Shepherd Pediatrics is the only East Coast healthcare provider to offer all three sizes - small, medium, and large - from Trexo Plus that enable children with cerebral palsy, child stroke, spinal cord injury, and lower extremity weakness to walk hands-free in safe, correct and consistent manner.
