Scientists Developing Smartphone Sensor To Instantly Detect Coronavirus


GE researchers are currently working on a sensor that can be plugged into smartphones and wearable devices that will detect the presence of novel coronavirus nanoparticles.

The novel system will work on new multifunctional bioreceptors that will be programmed to only look for a specific virus or substance (in this case SARS CoV-2)..

These sensors can be part of a touch surface that can be installed on phones, security keyboards, computer keyboards, and even portable devices.
