Apple now has 660 million paid users on its services.

With a record $ 16.9 billion in revenue for its services, Apple has more than 660 million paid subscriptions for the services on its platform. That's 145 million more than a year ago and twice as many paid subscriptions as 2.5 years ago.

The company published records for the App Store, cloud services, music, video, advertising and payment services. Apple's installed base growth has accelerated, reaching all-time highs in all major product categories.

"The number of transaction and payment accounts in our digital content stores reached a new all-time high in the March quarter. The payment accounts increased by double digits in each of our geographic segments," said Luca Maestri, Senior Vice President and CFO.

Paid subscriptions continue to show strong growth. "During the March quarter, we added more than 40 million paid subs in a row," Maestri said during the company's earnings call on Wednesday.

The new service offerings Apple TV plus, Apple Arcade, Apple News plus, Apple Card, Apple Fitness plus and the Apple One bundle can still be scaled across users, content and functions and contribute to the general growth of the services, according to the company.
