Here’s how it will work

Despite the various constraints brought on by the Covid pandemic for the past more than a year, the Delhi Metro, in its efforts to continuously improve the travel experience for its commuters, has successfully gained the option of free high-speed WiFi service from everyone Metro stations on their Yellow Line (ie Line-2 from HUDA City Center to Samaypur Badli) starting today.

This service, which coincides with the start of the festival season, will be launched on this line, which consists of 37 metro stations and runs mostly underground through one of the busiest parts of Delhi, from Outer Delhi, North Delhi through Central Delhi and South Delhi and finally Gurugram. More than 330 access points were installed at these 37 stations to provide commuters with uninterpreted internet access. This free high-speed WiFi service will prove to be a special boon for students traveling to and from Delhi University's North Delhi campus.

Passengers can use standard internet applications such as email, Facebook, Google search, WhatsApp, video and audio calls, etc. simply by logging into the network ID “OUI DMRC FREE Wi-Fi”.

Access to free WIFI at the stations is

1. Select "OUI DMRC FREE WIFI" on your phone

2. Enter your phone number and email ID to receive OTP via SMS

3. Enter the OTP, accept the terms and tap the Connect button to enjoy free WiFi

OUI DMRC Free high-speed WiFi connectivity is already available at all Blue Line and Airport Express Line stations (the network will be restored after Covid).

The Blue Line (Dwarka Sector 21 to Noida Electronic City / Vaishali) consists of 50 subway stations where over 400 access points are placed by DMRC to provide uninterpreted internet access, while the Airport Express Line (New Delhi Railway Station to Dwarka Sector 21, connection Indira Gandhi International Airport), consisting of six stations, was equipped with over 50 access points to enable uninterpreted Internet access.

With the introduction of high-speed WI-Fi at all stations on the Yellow Line, “Oui DMRC Free WI-Fi” is now available at 94 stations on the Delhi Metro Network. This free Wi-Fi service is provided by a consortium led by M / S Techno Sat Comm.

In addition to providing free WiFi at subway stations across the network, DMRC, in collaboration with Techno Sat Comm, aims to introduce this facility into subway trains from now on. Upgrading and installing the desired access points in trains that are already operational is a very demanding task. DMRC had introduced atrial a free WiFi service on the trains of its Airport Line, which were suspended in 2020 due to Covid-related restrictions and will now be restored within the next 10-15 days.

You can contact the Help Line number 9541693693 if you are having problems accessing free WIFI services at subway stations on all of these lines.
