Sony re-releases app-controlled 'wearable' AC


A year after Japanese multinational conglomerate Sony released an incredible app-controlled "portable air conditioner", it announced a follow-up product to the original device to make it more powerful and precise for physical activity while exercising. According to The Verge, the company launched the Reon Pocket, the app-controlled "portable air conditioner," last year after being crowdfunded on the company's own platform. The revised version 'Reon Pocket 2', which more or less corresponds to the original model, should absorb up to twice as much heat, which leads to a stronger cooling performance.

Sony also said it improved the sweat protection feature in the 'Reon Pocket 2', making it more suitable for light training situations. The Verge reported that the previous model was mainly marketed as clothing with a special undershirt to make summer commuting more bearable. However, with the new version of their product, Sony has emphasized that it is more versatile.

The company has also partnered with sportswear brands such as Le Coq Sportif, Munsingwear and Descente to produce a range of golf apparel with pockets for the device. Sony has also designed a collar accessory so that the 'Reon Pocket' can be used with normal clothing.
